How to get to Thirsk Hall

Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden is situated next to St. Mary’s Church on Kirkgate in Thirsk.

The Garden is accessed through a wooden door to the right of Thirsk Hall, please ring the video doorbell for attention and one of our members of staff will come and let you in.

By Car

Thirsk Hall is easily found on Google Maps, just follow directions to YO7 1PL. Thirsk is located just off the A1 and the A19. It is 20 minutes from Ripon, 30 minutes from Harrogate, 40 minutes from York and 45 minutes from Leeds. Get directions here.

By Train

Thirsk has its own train station that is 20 minute walk from Thirsk Hall. LNER and Grand Central trains run regularly from Sunderland, Edinburgh, York and London. There are also direct trains from Leeds, Manchester & Liverpool. You can also hire a car from Thirsk Station for more flexibility during your stay.

By Bus

There is a regular bus service from Northallerton to Ripon which passes through Thirsk. The Thirsk Bus station is in the middle of the market square, which is a two-minute walk from Thirsk Hall.

By Plane

The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford International Airport which is about a 40-minute drive. A little further afield is Manchester International Airport & Liverpool John Lennon Airport; both with the direct trains to Thirsk.
