Visit Us | The Evolution of the Garden

The garden on which Thirsk Hall stands has been witness to numerous changes across the course of several generations, with keen gardeners each adding something unique to the development of the estate. This tour will offer a tantalising glimpse into the history of the house and the family by looking at its evolution from grazing land to sculpture garden and all the bits in between. Thirsk Hall garden has cultivated more than just its flower and vegetable beds in its time, enriching the experiences of those within its walls throughout its history and into the current day.
Tickets are £20 per person. Please note that limited tickets are available.

TH Lates | Beer & Pizza Night

Saturday 17 May 2025, from 5pmEnjoy an evening of live music, high-quality Neapolitan pizzas and refreshing drinks in the Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden. We are delighted to be teaming up once again with the fantastic Clean Crust team for our annual Beer & Pizza Night. This year we will also be joined by the brilliant Dave Keegan Band who will be performing live on the lawn from 7pm.
Vegan and gluten free options will be available. We ask that you please purchase your tickets in advance so that there is enough food for everyone.
Tickets are £6.50 per adult. Tickets include entry to the Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden on the evening of 17 May and a drinks token to claim at the bar. Under 16s go free.

Friday 23 May & Friday 25 JulyNew to 2025, our Thirsk Hall tours give visitors an exclusive insight into the Hall’s history. Led by 18th century historian; Dr Helen Metcalfe, guests are guided through the rooms of the house before sitting down to enjoy refreshments served in The Old Dining Room with a Q&A session. The tour is approximately 1.5 hours.

Thursday 5 June 2025, from 6pmWhen it comes to scattering their mother’s ashes, three siblings are hit with a bombshell revelation that turns their world upside down.
This remarkable Clap Trap Production is based on the very simple premise that ‘it’s not what you say, it’s the way that you say it’. The first act is a full-blown, larger than life comedy. Then, after the interval, the characters swap round and it’s repeated as a serious drama.
Tickets are £25 per person. Suitable for all ages but does contain swear words. Refreshments will be available to purchase on the night.

Sunday 22 June 2025, from 11amFlower Power Plant Fair is back for the third year in a row. For those of you who haven’t attended one of Judy’s fabulous plant fairs you are in for a treat!
For the past 17 years Judy has been bringing together a select group of plant nurseries and specialists who are passionate about what they grow and sell. With such a wide selection of plant nursery and garden accessory stands there is something for everyone.
Admission is £5.00 per adult, under 16s go free.

Friday 27 June, 11am - 1pmForest Bathing is about connecting with nature and tapping into the senses through simple nature based activities in a mindful way.
Join Tandy Taylor, a Forest Bathing practitioner who will lead you on a relaxed journey through the garden. You will focus on the birdsong, the scent of herbs and be looking at the small details in nature that we so often overlook.

Saturday 12 July 2025, from 5pmJoin us for an evening of tasty food and refreshing drinks in the Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden. We are delighted to be teaming up with the fantastic Frank Family Butcher’s team for our new Beer & BBQ event. We will be joined for the first time by the acoustic duo Mikey Dowson & Joe Blades who will be performing live on the lawn from 7pm.

Saturday 27 September, from 5pmThirsk Hall’s Yorkshire inspired Oktoberfest is back by popular demand. This year with a twist… the best Yorkshire beers will be going head-to-head with a range of German drinks in our TH Beverage Battle. Only you can decide which drink will come out on top.
Once again, we will be teaming up with Frank Family Butcher’s for another of their fantastic locally sourced barbeques. This year we will also be welcoming back the brilliant Dave Keegan Band who will be performing live at the Hall from 7pm.
